The bar for people who hate people at bars. Consistent, awesome, dark and perfect. Jolly at the bar pours with a heavy hand and is genuinely the best. Mark at the door is great too! Always a cute dog dog or two in the parking lot. The live shows are awesome - I love seeing folks introduce their kids to awesome pink music. Bring back the ring toss game!!! If you hate people and light, the Dog is for you. If you happen to like people, the Dog is still for you because there's usually a lot of folks there and they're all a good time.

Definitely gets the award for the most dive bar I visited during my six day stay in the area. True to the classic dive bar vibe is a darkly lit and windowless establishment with an awesome music mix playing. Service was great and they had a decent beer and drinks selection. I will definitely return and spend more time to sit back, relax and be entertained.

Kick ass dive bar. Anthony Bourdain would’ve loved this place. Great bartenders (shout out Jolly), excellent smash burger, surprisingly good beer list, and all the metal music you can handle. Pro tip: don’t bring the kids, don’t bring the dogs and don’t bring pretensions.

One of my favorite grunge dive bars in the Providence area. Small and no judgement.

Supreme dive bar. I absolutely adore every piece of gristle in the place. Friendly competition on the pool table. Excellent smokey parking lot and patio. Thick air and dark paint. Long live The Scurvy Dog.

Where everybody knows your name! Think cheers but punk rock and metal instead of baseballl.

An overall inviting place, every bartender is great and the owners can be amazing always. Rebel's Rations food offered on weekends which is a plus. Great outside space, summertime parking lots shows always free and a pool table!! Great place for locals and people wanting a safe fun punk experience!!!

My friend and I went on a whim. I thought the way it was decorated was very artsy and unusual. It's got a door from a jail cell which I thought was pretty cool. The people were very friendly and definitely had their own vibe. My friend and I were dressed conservatively in comparison but we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. No one gave us a second look, or maybe even a first look! I felt no judging going on there. The bar tender was super nice and friendly. It's a small place and has one pool table. Personally, I love a small place. You feel connected, especially with regulars, you feel like you've got your own tribe. We loved the place and would definitely go back.
